2011 Miss Penticton Candidates

These personality portraits are the result of planning and input from both the cadidates and the photographer. Consultations are held with each girl to discuss interests, hobbies, career goals, sport interests, locations, clothing and makeup. The candidates gather sample images from magazines and the internet that they like, and then locations and time of day are scheduled for their portraits.

This year saw candidates being photographed at various outdoor settings, inside the SS Sicamous sternwheeler, with cars and musical instruments, in the photography studio, and even in a sound recording studio. Several hundred photos are taken of each girl, sometimes in 2 or 3 outfits, to arrive at the final selections (made by the photographer) that you see here.

Each candidate will receive a framed wall portrait of the selected image as a lifelong keepsake of their participation in the program.
